Dude you made that trumpet sound like ass 😂
could we simply add a post P-EQ simply boosting primary consonant sounds very narrow band w/significant gain?
If you duplicate the buss compressor plugin and link them, Then sidechain your left and right signal on the 2 instaces of the buss compressor plugin will you be able to use this effect in stereo?
I love that hotel song.
thanks sir
Is it a one time purchase
Just some info here from someone who is doing the course now. As a beginner, I was expecting there to be sample tracks and exercises with each module, but through the first two modules, you are asked to practice on one of your own old mixes. Unfortunately for people who are beginners, we don’t have old mixes that we’ve done. I’ve worked around it by finding some raw tracks online for practice mixes, but I was expecting each module to have this, and when done with the exercise, some sort of feedback to compare it to. That is not the case. I do know there are specific exercise modules, but I have not made it to those yet. I like the course, but I feel it could be better with more practice material, and feedback / comparison material to judge your “mixes” against.
Thanks
Thank you very much!!👏👏👏👏
Thank you very much! Your teaching is very good, congratulations!
Great video! I understand this plug-in much better now
For those in a hurry: Hpf up to 150 hz -kills mud and rumble (check that vox part doesn’t go below that, so probably go lower with a bass singer) 15 db 10khz high shelf boost (if mic is dark-ish- this mic sounds a bit dark) -this boost is huge though- careful, it can sound good just bc it’s loud. If done too much you can run out of headroom quickly and even clip your mix bus. Take high shelf boost down to 9db Dynamic cut in low mid range : 300 hz - 3db attenuation - lower low mid range makes vocals brighter without having to boost high shelf too much. This cut eliminates clash with fundamental notes of strings (or guitars in other song) and some muddiness, but being dynamic we don’t lose the warmth of the vocals or thin them out too much. Vocals are starting to get harsh Second dynamic cut 3k (harsh high mid range lives in 2k to 5k) - we use a dynamic cut instead of full cut to preserve intelligibility of speech and prescence. Dynamic EQ only cuts freq when it is too much. Tighten q, dial up threshold aprox 3 db of attenuation (-15.8 in threshold)
just for finding and remove overlaps . too much steps to be usefull
Absolutely love being able to see how these kinds of things are tracked in real time
Thanks for this. Still using Ozone 5! I appreciate the brevity and clarity of your video. Super helpful.
Okay, nice Video, but: Pro Tools + UAD plug Ins are really common for most home / bedroom producers, which need those tutorials mostly ... not. :)
BOM DEMAIS
Ive still got loads to learn and loads to understand, but this was so great and informative for a beginner like me. I can hear the differences and sort of see what causes the magic. I just need to dig in with time and practice. Thanks for making it conceptually graspable!
Brilliant! Thankyou sir! Xx
THIS WAS IN MY FEED!!! OMG!!!
so is there any way to make it trigger it LLIVE without having to do it in post
It turns down the final out put though, and when you delete it everything suddenly gets super loud
That snare is metal
It’s a pity that the author probably simply didn’t want to increase the size of the equalizer, which is provided by the manufacturer (You have to look at the picture on the monitor until your eyes hurt (((
Best Dither video ever!
Hi, best bass sound i ever heard 👍🤩🤩🤜🎸 What Avid mbix you use on this recordings ? Best regards 👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩
Great video!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to organize this video with audio examples because when I read an article on dithering, I understood what it was saying, but I couldn't visualize what it was saying. Now I can!
how do i duck the echo behind the dry signal
Thank this really helps 👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

It doesn’t emulate strings, but it sounds cool. Robert Frippy!
GREAT
This is great. I just did it myself and then searched if somebody tried it too :-)
So cool , thx
Total Game Changer. Thank You
I wonder how this compares to free plugs like Analog Obsession?
Great illustration on Dither. I viewed this to refresh myself as a mixer and mastering engineer. I got because I was being a second ear for a song and low and mid level random noises in a supposively mastered version. I a MTSU Recording graduate 2014.
When you go to M/S mode, you have to turn the "pan" knob one way or the other. All the way to the left is 100% mids, and all the way to the right is 100% sides. Leaving it in the middle is the same as keeping it L/R. Great plugin, and fun to use!
I have Ableton Live but this doesn't shows up
Just found this. Good stuff. What are your most successful tools to promote yourself as producer/mixer?
Your playing is excellent.
Everybody seems to only be mixing rock. Mix, hip-hop and rap Boom bap
The diagram was perfect, when so many other UA-cam videos fail. Nice work!
Really good video even a decade later but... why is the red threshold ine crooked?!
I was struggling to death mixing some vocals using the "better subtract than add" approach and it seems that nothing worked. But as soon as I starting to add the resonances I was struggling with all of a sudden aren't annoying anymore! I think that in some instances is better to add and then and only then substract what stands out the most.
Brill
Very cool tutorial thank you. A T Racks one, however. I would have done this with stock plug-ins showing the students how to set up mid-side so they can more easily visualize what is being done in the process.
